The Long-Haired Runner

The Long Haired Runner

I am a runner who has long hair

I am a runner who goes everywhere

I go run over here, I go run over there

I run in the snow, I run with a glow

I run in the rain, I run with some pain

I run in the sun, I run just for fun

I run as a shutter bug, I run as I shrug

I run outside and sometimes I run to hide

Theres no hiding here & there's nothing to fear- this blog is all about my adventures in running, the up and downs, the highs and lows the mountains and the seas, these awesome runners knees that take me to amazing places where I can make funny faces as the sweat drips down between my chest and I take some moments to pause and reflect while I rest, it's the best!

Seriously, it stuck me like a hail nugget falling from the sky. I wanted to created a themed blog for sharing "something" that I am passionate about. I had to determine what it was that made me unique in this running scene. Then I had a wild hair! I'm punderful also but no, the punderful runderful rungry runners blog? Too much.

No, I have really long hair so I googled it this morning and it appears no one else has done this exact thing. I'm certainly not the first long haired runner, and there are much faster and famous long haired runners out there but I am going to use this blog name and I already claimed the facebook page. My plan here is to write about more than what it's like to run with long hair, I'm going to share this personal long haired runners experience with running.

If it has to do with running I'm going to write about it. Just you watch. And hopefully I'll see you out there running one of these days and you'll yell at me (in a good way) because you enjoy my blog and recognize me by my crazy long hair.

Thanks for reading!

Oh and did I mention I'm going to go run in Port Stephens Australia? I'm going to do my best to make it happen and more information on that is coming soon. Finding out today that I was chosen as one of the four that get to go represent Bellingham in our Sister City exchange pushed me to make the extra effort here and follow thru with my inspired thought to create this blog. Yay! I hope you come back here to follow this super cool adventure with me too.
